The short version. This quiz asks three questions, works out which Money Model Archetypes your answers lean toward, and emails you the result. To do that it keeps your email address, your answers and your scores.
There are no advertising trackers, no analytics and no tag managers on this site. Nothing here follows you around the internet. You are not added to any mailing list unless you tick the box asking to be.

Your archetype is inferred by an algorithm from the answers you give. It is a reflective personality exercise, not a diagnosis, and not health, medical, psychological, financial or legal advice.
Under Washington State's My Health My Data Act it is nonetheless treated as consumer health data (RCW 19.373 s.3(8)(b)(xiii), which covers exactly this — a profile inferred from nonhealth answers by an algorithm). That is why sharing it with the mailing-list provider is a separate, unticked, opt-in box rather than something bundled into using the quiz at all.
Your score is calculated automatically — no person reads your answers to decide your result. It produces a reflective profile and nothing more: it has no legal effect on you, does not decide whether you can buy anything, and is not used to set a price or refuse a service. GDPR Art. 22 therefore does not restrict it, but you should know that it is automated.
These are the only third parties involved. Each acts on instructions under a data processing agreement.

Money Ontology is based in the United States, and the providers above are US companies or store data in the US. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, your information is therefore transferred outside your country. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the provider.
You may ask for a copy of the safeguards that apply to any particular transfer.
Your quiz result is kept for as long as it is useful to the service — so that your archetype is still there if you come back, retake it, or ask us about it later. There is no fixed expiry date. We review what is held once a year and remove what is no longer needed.
You can ask for it to be deleted at any time and it will be, without needing to give a reason.
If you unsubscribe, you are removed from the mailing list straight away. If you ask for deletion, your quiz record is deleted too.
Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email hello@howtobewithmoney.com. You will get a reply within one month. There is no charge. You will not be asked for more identifying information than is needed to find your record — normally just the email address you used.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you can also send any of these requests through our representative's secure portal, where they are logged and tracked. Either route reaches us.
Every results email also carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a short note recording that you recently submitted the quiz, which is what stops repeat submissions. It stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Cloudflare's bot check may set storage of its own, strictly to tell a person from a script. It is not used for advertising and not used to build a profile of you.
This quiz is not intended for anyone under 16 and is not designed to be used by children. If you believe a child has submitted their information, email hello@howtobewithmoney.com and it will be deleted.
If this notice changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how information already collected is used will be notified by email where there is an address to write to.
